We really wanted to communicate that gritty urban Seattle culture that heavily influenced the band’s style and artistry. This is why we kept the colors to a minimum and instead decided to use depth to direct the viewer’s focus.

Urban Epileptic Release

A few weeks before this project, I was invited out to be a photographer at one of their concerts. I did a few shots at a very low shutter speed and the lead singer pointed out that he really liked those photos and that it went well with the band’s style. I also really liked them myself because I thought that the blurry images really matched the energy of the concert because of how fast everything happens and how there are so many moving parts of a performance.

House Party Concert

When the band reached out to me for the poster of this concert, they told me that this concert was very laid-back as it was a simple house show at one of the band member’s residence. The challenge for me was to take the band’s usual bombastic energy and to tone it down into a chill Friday night with friends vibe.
